WHO/O is pleased to announce that Stephanie Craddock Sherwood will join Women Have Options
as our first-ever executive director beginning on April 4, 2016.

As a longtime spokesperson and advocate of reproductive rights with a long history of service as a skilled non-profit professional, she is the right person to help us strengthen our efforts so that all Ohioans can enjoy reproductive freedom and access to care.

With over 10 years experience in the social justice field, she comes to us following her recent stint as an independent consultant. As a creative, versatile, community-minded professional, she advised nonprofit organizations and women-owned businesses on their marketing and visual communications. Her clients have included Preterm, Wholly Craft, Local Matters, The Ohio Association for Adult Protective Services and Thurber House, to name a few.  Additionally, for the past 3 years, she has developed the branding and marketing materials for the WHO/O annual bowl-a-thon as a pro-bono project.

Prior to her independent consulting work she was the Communications and Marketing Manager at Local Matters, where she worked with local media and other community partners, managed the organization’s online presence and used her creative and technical skills to create content that helped the organization spread its message and fulfill its mission.

In the years prior, she worked with individuals and organizations, cultivating an activist community focused on countering the unprecedented assaults on women’s reproductive rights at the state and national levels with Planned Parenthood of Central Ohio. Her person-centered public affairs program became a model for Planned Parenthood’s grassroots organizing nationwide. In 2011, she received The National Excellence Award in Public Affairs from Planned Parenthood Federation of America for this work.

Before pursuing her Master’s degree, she served two years as an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer. Her first term was with Planned Parenthood of Western Washington as a Community Sexuality Educator and her second was as a VISTA Leader with Rural Action, a social, environmental and economic justice non-profit serving Appalachian Ohio. She holds a B.S. in Visual Communications and a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Ohio University. Craddock Sherwood lives in Columbus with her husband and many animals and in her spare time she gardens, plays bass with her band Coal Fired Bicycle and is on the volunteer board of the Clintonville Farmer’s Market.
