FIRST Collective is hosting a community breakfast & resource fair on September 1st at Camp Shameless (905 East Mound Street, Columbus, OH). The event is open to all, but it is designed to benefit the unsheltered residents of the camp. AFO & other community organizations will be present with free resources, and all neighbors are invited to attend & contribute this housing justice initiative. The City of Columbus has regularly targeted the camp for utilizing an empty lot to provide transient shelter for many of the city's unhoused residents. The resource fair was originally slated to occur on the same day as a city scheduled eviction. That eviction has now been moved to September 14th, and organizers remain committed to fighting this injustice.
