This is an extraordinary time for Women Have Options – and one of immense and exciting change. After 22 years as an all-volunteer organization, and an eighteen-month planning and hiring process, we have our first staff Executive Director, Stephanie Craddock Sherwood. The board made the decision to transition from an all-volunteer organization because we recognized the need for WHO/O to expand our reach to make abortion affordable and safe for all women in Ohio.

During this time Stephanie has also helped expand the network of Women Have Options, beginning with the board. This summer, we welcomed five new board members, including our new Board Chair, Julia D’Agostino:

Julia D’Agostino is a licensed independent social worker doing training, consultation, and psychotherapy with a focus on anti-oppression issues and trauma-informed care. Julia has worked in advocacy and social justice for women and families since 2009, including family planning health care administration and rape crisis program management. Julia also maintains a private practice specializing in trauma recovery. She is passionate about amplifying the intersections between systemic issues, and fundamentally believes the fight for true equity and freedom includes unrestricted access to abortion. As board chair, Julia hopes to widen the platform of leadership to include diverse representation of communities most impacted by anti-choice legislation and practices.

Our growing, energetic board is strongly supportive of Stephanie and Julia’s strategy and vision for the organization and, as always are grateful for your continued support!

Thank you,

Adam Fazio (Now Former Interim Board Chair)
